*GLOBALIZE THE STRUGGLE, GLOBALIZE HOPE!*
As a global peasant movement, we welcome this new cycle with strength,
mobilization, and solidarity in a world facing some of its gravest crises.
We hope that every home will have a plate of food, along with joy and
hope for a better world. Our movement renews its commitment to fighting
for Life, Social Justice, Peace, and Food Sovereignty for our peoples
*Your donations help us remain autonomous!*
La Via Campesina depends on funding from our supporters who are
committed to the vision of food sovereignty. Your support allows the
global movement to remain autonomous and independent of all influences,
and to voice our grassroots proposals and demonstrate our agroecological
practices in international and national policy-making spaces. We believe
that the transformation of our society into a more inclusive and
equitable one requires the collective efforts of all who firmly believe
in the ideas of social justice and equity. *DONATE

*Palestine : A delegation from La Via Campesina in the West Bank
witnesses the devastating impacts of the Israeli occupation.*
------------------------------------------------------------------------
During the 10-day visit, the delegation toured key regions, including
Nablus, the Jordan Valley, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Hebron, and met with
Palestinian farmers, governors, and representatives from civil society
organizations, including women’s cooperatives, youth groups, and human
rights advocates. The meetings revealed a bleak reality: systematic
policies of home demolitions, land seizures, and restrictions on access
to water have devastated the livelihoods of Palestinian farmers and
rural communities. *READ MORE

*Haiti: Devastating floods leave a tragic toll on lives and livelihoods*
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Floods have added a new layer of suffering and loss in Haiti, a country
already grappling with gang violence and extreme poverty. Today, Haiti
is facing one of the worst natural disasters in its history, with
devastating floods hitting especially the north, Grande-Anse, and the
Northwest. The human and material losses are tragic. Dozens of bodies
have already been recovered from the waters. Peasants, who form the
backbone of the rural economy, have lost nearly all their crops, as well
as animals vital to their livelihood. *READ MORE

*Nov. 25 – International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against
Women: Stop Violence, Hunger, and War!*
------------------------------------------------------------------------
We affirm that the fight against violence, climate change, and hunger in
rural areas requires popular land reforms and the creation of an
alternative model of food production worldwide. We seek to radically
transform the economy to place the reproduction of life at its center.

*Baku, COP29: La Via Campesina's Responses to the Climate Crisis*
------------------------------------------------------------------------
False solutions, including carbon markets, offset systems, genetically
modified crops, geoengineering megaprojects, "climate-smart
agriculture," and "nature-based solutions," reinforce an imperialist
development agenda, deepening colonialism and environmental degradation.

*December 3 – International day for Life and against agrotoxics: Peasant
Agroecology ensures Food Sovereignty*
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The intensive use of pesticides is one of the main causes of the
biodiversity crisis the world is facing. Pollinator and bee populations
are declining at an alarming rate, directly impacting biological and
cultural diversity. Affirming peasant agroecology and food sovereignty
is essential to preserving life. *READ MORE

*South Korea: Peasant Unions and Urban Youth Unite to Overcome Police
Barriers in ‘Victory at Namtaeryeong’*
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Their demands included the abolition of open agricultural policies and
urgent social reforms to support small-scale producers. Over 10,000
citizens joined the peasants as they filled the streets of Namtaeryeong
at the Sadang station. *READ MORE
