MOBILISATIONS TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
From 25 to 30 November 2019, on the _INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE
ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN_, La Via Campesina mobilised several of its members and allies to unite with all those women and people of diverse identities who resist, organise and struggle for a fair and egalitarian society that works in solidarity, by keeping love and respect at its core. Through demonstrations, seminars and fairs, members of the peasant movement denounced the capitalist, patriarchal, racist and colonising system that exploits, oppresses and attacks the lives of women and humanity in general.

At the eighth meeting of its Governing Body - held from November 11 to 16 in Rome - in which a delegation of La Via Campesina participated along with other peasant organizations, members of the IPC (International Committee on Food Sovereignty) - the International Seed Treaty (1) is totally paralyzed by the greed of the biotech industry and the richest countries.
